Meet our Program:
Road to Zero Waste
What is Road to Zero Waste?
Road to Zero Waste focuses on educating students about the importance of protecting the environment and teaching them how their everyday actions can make a difference. With student-led initiatives and hands on activities, Road to Zero Waste engages students into learning how to properly separate trash, recyclables, and compostable materials.
Impacts
Starting from Earl Warren, Road to Zero Waste has expanded their reach to multiple middle schools in San Diego, holding an assembly at each to teach students about mindful recycling. Afterwards, Road to Zero Waste conducts waste audits to measure the difference the assemblies made.
