Implementing themselves as a more vital part of the community, members from the Go Greenish team set up a booth at the Solana Beach's local 45th annual Fiesta Del Sol event on May 30 and 31.
The event is placed effectively on one of the summer’s first weekends, filled with creative arts, live music, and many food options. The event being two days and free makes it accessible for many families and teenagers living in the broader San Diego County.
For Go Greenish, the immense amount of food consumption made way for an excellent opportunity to talk with and educate the people of San Diego. While listening to vibrant bands play, people tried delicious foods and drinks from vendors and were often aided with the help of Go Greenish on where to sort their trash.
In partnership with a few of the City of Solana Beach Junior Commissioners, Go Greenish was able to show their involvement and set up their booth focused on targeting locals. Executive members engaged in diverse conversations regarding the organization's purpose and mission to take environmentally friendly steps for slowing down climate change.
Most importantly, Go Greenish was able to meet a handful of young teenagers that became encouraged to join the organization and learn more. The team is excited for many more opportunities at joining the fun of Fiesta in the future and meeting more individuals, spreading their environmental mission.
